A climate change activist lit up and burned down the tennis court at London’s O2 Arena on Friday during the Laver Cup, according to multiple reports.

The anonymous protester, wearing a white t-shirt emblazoned with ‘end of British private jets’, carried a lighter with him before sitting down on the pitch near the net to set his arm and pitch on fire in front of a stunned crowd who began to whistle in disapproval. Two arena security officers rushed to the field to put out the fire and before taking the protester away.

The protest delayed the second set between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman, according to reports.

Security guards eventually took the man out of court.

After the incident, Tsitsipas said“He came out of nowhere. … I’ve never had an incident like this on the court.

The Cup of the tank released a statement:
