I guess this man took “beyond the meat” a little too literally! According KNWA News, The chief operating officer of plant-based food company Beyond Meat was arrested for biting a man’s nose in a parking lot over the weekend.
Doug Ramsey, 53, was taken into police custody on September 17 after an alleged fight in a parking lot resulted in him biting the flesh off a man’s nose. The preliminary report says officers responded to a disturbance at a parking lot in Fayetteville, AK.
The responding office reportedly found ‘two men with bloody faces’ at the scene and, after speaking to both parties, discovered they were involved in a physical altercation over a road rage drama!
Go ahead, roommates. Apparently, as Ramsey tried to leave the garage, the other man, who was driving a Subaru, “crewed into his path” and made contact with his vehicle. Ramsey allegedly got out of his vehicle and “hit the windshield of the Subaru”.
After getting out of his vehicle, the man driving the Subaru said Ramsey allegedly “pulled him to him and started punching him”, before biting his nose, “tearing the flesh on the end of the nose”. He also allegedly threatened to kill the man.
The poultry executive was arrested and charged with threatening terrorism and third-degree assault, and released on $11,085 bail on Sunday.
Ramsey was named COO of Beyond Meat in December 2021 and would have been suspended effective immediately. The company announced that operations will be overseen by Beyond Meat’s senior vice president of manufacturing operations, Jonathan Nelson.
